What vehicles have you previously owned? Post pics as well if you like.

I'll start. I have owned a couple of different cars.

My first was a 89 Nissan Exa (targa top), Then I had a Corolla GTi/SX Hatchback 90 model I think it was. Only owned it for a short time. Before I sold it for my 04 Fiesta Zetec. And now an 07 XR4.

First car I owned (many years ago) was a 1975 Celica. I had a fair amount of work done on the old thing including a TRD engine and exhaust and 40mm webers sucking all the fuel up. I then moved on to an '86 Swift GTi - what a great little car that was - awesome fun. I then had several different company cars of the usual boring type although the last one was an '03 350Z - loved that one. It was mildly modified with CAI, new plenum, whiteline sway bars & Kenwood ICE (pics below) I now own an XR5 with pro-alloy intercooler, bluefin edit, K&N filter and Eibach springs (pics @ http://www.fordxr4.com/fo...hp?topic=21.msg146#msg146 )

I have only ever owned Fiesta's! lol Having said that I didnt get my very own (bought & paid for sort of thing) til I was 24! I had a mk5 Fiesta 1.3L Flight. I adored her to pieces but never modded her (no point) because I knew as soon as she was paid off I was getting something else. I was going to get a mk5 Zetec-S but heard about the ST and went for it  smitten

I've had a pretty strange collection in cars, most likeley as a result of my growing up and changing tastes.

Here was my 1st Car, given to me by Dad an XG Falcon S XR6 Ute. Nice car, I did the typical 18YO Choc thing and bought Powerchip exhausts and CAI's for it before I realised I just wasn't into having a ute..... I really loved that car though! It was fantastic, but then again, the 1st car always is.... It lasted 8 months in my possesion.

I ended up selling the ute to get this one. When I bought it it was stock as a rock. no bodykit, wheels, lowering, exhaust.... NOTHING. It was a bog family car, but so clean it looked like it had just rolled out of the factory, AND I kept it that way. Its other potential was a 5 speed manual trans from the factory, and its the reason why I bought it. I chocced it up like any 18YO wog boy does, with LSD, upgraded gears, exhaust, Custom CAI. and "Preston Auto's and diffs" stickers.... Oh god...

I liked how it looked and how it went, and it was a head turner, It was used a few times as a display car for the E-series Owners club. but it gave me PROBLEMS PROBLEMS PROBLEMS. I will NEVER EVER own a falcon again, and the thought of an E-series Falcon will forever leave a bitter taste in my mouth... It lasted from November 2003 till March 05'. It's been seen recently with P plates and Steel interceptor rims in a beaten up state. Considering how I kept it, it makes me cry....

The Fez marked a turning point in my attitude towards vehicles. I was 19... and all grown up. Time to get something "sensible but fun" I said to myself... The Fez provided both of those in Buckets... I loved it SO much, it still remains my favourite car of the bunch. I couldn't keep it stock for long. 17"s Stripes, lowering, and exhaust eventually came about. It won "Best Fiesta" at Small Ford Sunday 06'. It's such a good car, that we kept it in the family, we couldnt get rid of it. It now is owned by my sister, who doesn't take as much care of it as me, but still loves it. I had it from March 05' Until February 28th 2007 Wink Wink

Now I have the RenaultSPORT Clio 182 Cup. It delivers what it promises. Its fun, but not as sensible. I love it heaps. Dont know how long it will last in my possession cuz I have a bad history with changing over cars frequently. Next car I hope to be perhaps a VW Golf R32, or a BMW M3...

Thanks for listening to the Life story!

haha

Well nothing exciting over here but owned 4 previous cars...

First car when I was 18 in 1999 was a 1981 VC Commodore with a 253 V8...  For some reason in my family everyones first car always ended up being made the year they were born... so I guess i was destined to get the 1981 model :-P

Then I got a VR Commodore in about 2000 it was a good car did the usual with body kit, lowered, rims, stereo etc...  sold the car in 2003..

Then I got an ED Ford XR6... was a great car, real heavy on fuel.  All i did to that one was installed a full stereo in it..  Sold it in 2005.

Then I got a 2000 VT Commodore SS with the 5.7ltr V8...  Was a nice car but something about it i was never happy with.

In 2006 my sister had no need for a car anymore so she gave me her 1997 Nissan Micra.  I started using it to make the Geelong-Melbourne round trip daily for work as it was cheaper then the train.  I really started to like the Micra, not the car itself but the size and the fact 20 bucks of fuel lasts forever and the fact i can park it and drive through the city so much easier...  I ended up driving that more often and sold the VT 2 weeks ago.

I have been looking at another car to get that is small like the Micra but doesn't fit the "girly" profile.  I think that is what attracts me to the XR4...

So yeah I have had big cars all my life but maybe it is cause im now older but I just cant see the point anymore of spending 15ltrs per 100km just to drive myself around everywhere, i think i'm just over big cars and there is something about the XR4 I really like.

I've also previously owned a Nissan Exa.  Mine was white.  You couldn't beat going "roof off".

Anyway, I've owned the following cars...

Mazda 626:  Very first car.  It even had a manual choke.
EA Falcon:  Was good in its day but cripped by three speed gear box.
N13 Nissan Exa:  Can't fault this car but in the end it got too old and worn out.
AU Falcon S:  Great car but with current petrol prices I never wanted to drive it.  It didn't make sense for me to be driving a family car either.

I've only owned the two cars; when I eventually get the XR4 it'll be three.

October 2003 - June 2005 - '90 Ford Laser KF TX3 N/A. Good car but it saw the wars. Sold it to my brother who poured a sh*t load of money into it and turned it into a real headturner (for the right reasons).

July 2005- Current - '99 Camry V6 Wagon. Dad owned it since new and I took ownership of it when I moved to Melbourne for a year. Good reliable car, very clean, and I wasted good money turning it into a stereo car (but since has been returned to stock). I'm regretting selling the stereo stuff now because a good deal of it could have gone into the Fiesta but I thought I'd be buying a Mk V Golf GTI, and the thought of extra money was overpowering.

I'll edit some photos into this at a later stage; right now I'm at work; laaaaame.
