Just a quick photo of the lastest test session, was awesome fun, I was now allowed to use all the gears and the ignition cut. Awesome fun and very very fast!!!

What type of car is it? It looks like it would be a great car for motorkhana & hillclimbs

One of my mates was involved in the RMIT Uni. build back in 2007 or 08... The car and team ended up going to the UK as it won the local competitions.
The Formula SAE stuff is getting pretty big, when I checked it out a year or so ago they were pulling teams in from Germany, India and Asia.

Hi all, Luke as you probably have worked out. im 24,left school at 16 and did a trade as a diesel mechanic, after qualifying did a few years in the navy as a marine tech (biggest mistake of my life) went back to my trade for a while and now work in spare parts. currently doing a diploma in business and working sat/sun at parklea markets to pay for this money pit of a build i got myself into.
Started out as a holden man, had a few bommodores including a 500hp vk calais with a 427 chev, first ford was a mid eightys courier (i know its really a mazda) with all holden running gear i.e. commo V6 with a dirty big turbo on it, now own two small fords and love them (wife has an 06 focus).

Sad Its a shame pusses (slang for the RAN) lost someone with yours skills Luke. Navy has finally realized it needs to regain its organic engineering capability rather than just basic maintainers and operators with contracted support. There are not enough good hands on people out there now that alone in the ADF. Here is hoping that gets sorted, and trust you are happy doing your thing now Thumbsup

Great to see you started out with the Big block chev stuff, did the same 20 years ago with a LS6 454 running a B&M 6/71, through a T400 driving a modded salisbury 12 bolt in an HZ caprice. The changing laws made it impossible to rego any longer so separated it and have diversified over the years, but can not seem to leave any car stock Wink

Best wishes for your build and will watch with interest to see what evolves...Cheers Adam Thumbsup
