got caught in a big storm heading back from the beach, the xr4 went good all the way, but hit a big puddle out near the power station (close to where i live) and that allmost killed it, revs dropped like hiroshima bomb and a bit of water got into the doors. :S anyone else had something bad like this happen?

kind of makes me want a big 4bie diesel

Where I am wasn't too bad, there was a lot of water sitting on the road, and the backyard started to flood but other than that I didn't realise it was so bad! A few of my mates had some damage done to their cars and houses. It was 19mm of rain in 18mins or something? Not something common here at all.

But to answer your question, no. That has never happened to me before...
